Sample lesson
Images vs. Containers
The difference between a Docker image and a running container.
A Docker image is a lightweight, standalone, and executable package that includes everything needed to run a piece of software, including the code, runtime, libraries, and dependencies. It serves as a template from which containers are created.
A running container is a live instance of a Docker image. It is an isolated environment where the application defined by the image runs. Containers can be started, stopped, moved, and deleted independently.

A new Pod stays in Pending. `kubectl describe pod api-7f9c` shows the event: Warning FailedScheduling default-scheduler 0/3 nodes are available: 3 Insufficient cpu. What is the MOST likely cause?
- The container image cannot be pulled from the registry
- The Pod's CPU requests exceed the unreserved allocatable CPU on every node
- The Pod's CPU limit is lower than its CPU request
- The kubelet on each node has stopped reporting to the control plane
